Reach Out and Read Colorado Medical Director and Denver Health Pediatrician, Dr. Michelle Shiffman, was featured on Denver7’s Mile High Living to discuss the importance of reading aloud from birth.
In August 2022, Altitude Pediatrics began partnering with Reach Out and Read Colorado to support early literacy goals in Mesa County. Within the first year, this site far surpassed the number of well-child visits expected for this new clinic.
The Reach Out and Read Colorado team joined members of the General Assembly this morning at the Colorado State Capitol to declare Feb. 14, 2025, as “Colorado Read to Your Child Day.”
The Reach Out and Read program is now active in 22 Kaiser Permanente pediatric clinics in Colorado, with clinics in Greeley, Ft. Collins, and Loveland, all the way down to Castle Rock, Parker, and Colorado Springs!
