Reach Out and Read Colorado’s 2024 Spring Benefit is an opportunity to celebrate our mission and impact throughout the state. This year’s event, inspired by the children’s book If You Give A Mouse A Cookie, will have everyone dreaming about a bright future for Colorado kids.
Celebrate with us & make a difference
For over 25 years, Reach Out and Read Colorado has empowered healthcare providers to talk with parents and caregivers of young children about the importance of reading together every day.
At 290,000 well-child visits each year, and in partnership with more than 330 pediatric clinics across the state, Reach Out and Read Colorado ‘prescribes’ books to children from birth to age five, along with providing guidance and resources for their families, to encourage and support kindergarten readiness and strong parent-child bonding from day one.
Join us at our Spring Benefit to raise money for this incredible mission, with the goal of one day ensuring all children in Colorado have access to this proven program.

“Reach Out and Read Colorado has helped us to create a literacy-rich environment, where families have the opportunity to explore and enjoy books together in clinic and at home. Our providers have the opportunity to share their love of reading with their patients and families and to model positive ways for families to engage with literature together.
The Reach Out and Read Program is a really positive experience for everyone involved. Thank you!“

Boilerplate Language: What is Reach Out and Read Colorado?
We are excited to offer a new program enhancement which will allow us to begin serving our communities’ most vulnerable children from day one. Back To Birth will add 3 additional books at the 1-week, 2-month, and 4-month well-child visit, effectively doubling the impact of Reach Out and Read in the first year of life.
The program will be introduced to 3,500 infants in Denver Health clinics first, in honor of our founder Dr. Steve Vogler, and then strategically throughout the rest of the state.
