Board Chair – Simon Hambidge, MD, PhD
Simon Hambidge, MD, PhD, is Chief Ambulatory Officer at Denver Health and the Chief Executive Officer of Denver Community Health Services (DCHS). A pediatrician by training, Dr. Hambidge was previously the Director of General Pediatrics for Community Health Services for 8 years. He is a Professor of Pediatrics at the University School of Medicine, and has practiced at Denver Health since 1997.
As DCHS CEO, Dr. Hambidge oversees a network of 9 community health centers and 17 school based clinics, which provide health care to over 150,000 patients, approximately one-fourth of the population of Denver. Denver Health’s patients include over half of the Medicaid patients in the city.
Dr. Hambidge still provides limited clinical care in the Webb Center for Primary Care’s Kids Care clinic. He has published numerous articles on topics such as vaccine safety and pediatric obesity.
Dr. Hambidge serves on the Board of Directors of the Denver Health Medical Plan, the Colorado Community Health Network, the Community Health Association of Mountain and Plains States, and Reach Out and Read Colorado.
Vice-Chair – Frederick W. (“Tim”) Damour, J.D.
Tim Damour is a retired attorney who as served on several non-profit boards during the 35 years he has lived in Denver with his wife, Susan, including Volunteers for Outdoor Colorado and Summer Scholars (n/k/a Scholars Unlimited).
He had over 40 years of experience as a commercial banking and finance lawyer, including international assignments based in London, England, with The First National Bank of Chicago [now JP Morgan Chase], Davis, Graham & Stubbs, Colorado National Bank [now US Bank], and Block, Markus & Williams. Tim is a graduate of Yale College and the University of Illinois College of Law.
Treasurer – James Cryan
James is the Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Rocky Mountain Preparatory Schools (RMP). Currently, RMP operates three campuses in Denver and serves over 800 scholars. For the past two years, RMP has operated the highest performing elementary school that serves majority low-income students in Denver. James is passionate about improving the public education system in Colorado and serves as an elected member of the DPS Collaborative Council and board member for Reach out and Read Colorado. He has been named one of Denver’s “Public Education Game-Changers” and was selected as a member of the 2015 Leadership Denver program. Prior to his work at RMP, James received his MBA from the University of Denver, was a member of Teach for America and graduated magna cum laude from Colby College.
Secretary – Jodi Hardin
Jodi Hardin is the Chief Strategy Officer at The Civic Canopy, a non-profit focused on building a culture of collaboration that drives transformative change across Colorado. She is instrumental in designing and ensuring a sound business strategy for the organization and facilitating community-driven processes that promote child, family and community health. Jodi coordinated Colorado’s comprehensive early childhood work for over 8 years, including time working on early childhood policy in the Office of the Lt. Governor. She has a Master’s in Public Health, Maternal and Child Health, from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
